bc northern lights producer- green crack

day 21 fower. the yellowing of leaves and stunted plants are do to accidental overwatering. mater secret- when using boxes, make sure that they are as level as possible.the floor here slopes back and left leaving the stonewool submeged in nute solution, stunting growth and ultimatly lowering harvest potential. or, just add less solution to the res to comenstae for slopes.
day 14 flowering. master secret- by this time some plants are noticeably shorter. place the tallest plants around the outside and thos shorter plants in the middle to allow for more even lighting for heavier crops.

day 7 flowering. all four t5 sunblasters are turned on. check the other posts for week 2 formula. master secret-a weekly spray (always with the all lighting off) of 30ml hydrogen peroxide (35%) and 20ml isopropyl alcoohol (99%) per litre of fresh water to prevent and/or treeat fungi and pests. these issues are best prevented if not treated when plants are at their youngest and so smallest. the larger the plant, the harder the problem.

week 1 flower-these pk clones were so strong and vigorous they only needed 4 days of vegitative growth. notice how all smaller plants are placed in the middle and the tallest around the perimeter. this will allow even light distribution for the rest of the cycle.

week 1 flower- refer to other posts for recipe- master secret- shock plants with 24-36 hours darkness after res change to increase yield and hasten flowering time.

day 1- this is a brand new model of the producer from bc northern lights. these pk's have just rooted through the 3 inch rockwools and will spend 7 days growing before forced to flower. notice the intake fan is lowered and i've added 2 more t5 sunblasters.

week 1 veg in 65l (15 gallons)

grow 225ml
micro 150ml
bloom 75ml
cannbolic stacker 1.5g
hyox 100ml
co2 0
ph 5.5-5.8
ppm 1000-1200

  1. HEY THERE!! Im totally inspired by your grow with the BC NORTHERLIGHTS Producer. Im going to purchase two of these bad boys when i get back from IRAQ, yeah, im in the military. But, im getten two when i get back! I have a question...have you grown Sensi Star in one of theses? and if so, whats the yield like? and quality of course. And do these babies over heat? I live in so cali and it gets hot here. What should the temps be inside the units? Please HELP! Thanks man!

  2. thank you for your time to write. sensi star has been around since 1995 and was improvrd in 1997 by paradise seeds, one of the most respected creators of medical grade cannabis strains. i have not grown sensi star but have smoked it and there is a reason its swept many awards in the past. sensi star will be perfect for the bcnl boxes because it works extremely well with sea of green or smaller space set ups. some of my connoisseur friends claim the star is one of their favourites if not the best kind they've ever smoked. make sure to let it grow a little bit taller because she doesn't stretch that much, even hydroponically. sensi star will deliver to you some of the strongest marijuana known with an above average yield for the quality. ps, when you decide on a strain(which i think you have and should stick with), take 7-14 days off the advertised finishing time becuase these boxes are state of the art technology which allows for bigger yields in much less time. the a-k on this blog usually goes for 7 weeks and could have been harvested in 5.5 weeks!!! stay safe out there soldier. oh, when it comes to temperature, the room the box is in must maintain 65-85 degrees or crop failure will occur. the boxes generally tend to have the same temp in as the room they're in. i'd recommend getting a "window banger" air conditioner for your room and setting the thermostat to 70-75 degrees for optimal growth.

    1. You are not telling the truth. I have my Bloombox in a room with the A/C at 68 degrees and the inside of the Flower Chamber sits at 84 degrees. That includes the light being exhausted outside.

  3. Wow, thank you for the advice! Ive been growing outdoors now for about four years and got it down to a science! I now have a ebb and flow and its working ok, but I will be moving into a small house of my own and need security, and these bc northern light boxes seem totally worth the money! I am also a medical marijuana card holder. And sell my crop to the clinics. On average...what am i to expect with yield? anything less then a pound? Thanks for the advice as well!

  4. these boxes are worth more then the money you pay. i've read alot of stories of old stubborn hippies trying to tell youngsters that one of these boxes can easily be buitl with some wood, some nails and a hammer for 50 bucks. i got one thing to say-wake the fuck up! by the time pops and hillblliy boy actually make a blueprint and acquire all the component material, you'll be at least half way to your first harvest.now i'mm not saying "small grow chambers" that are high output can't be assembled cheaply, but we also cannot compare apples to oranges. the bc northern lights producers offer you a dialed in grow room on wheels-with c02! they are extremely user friendly. with a fast finisher: afhani #1,northern lights #5, hashplant(5.5-6 weekers), you can get up to 8 crops with a day or two of veg every cycle so annually, with an average yield of 500g, thats 4kg or about 8-9 lbs/year. plants should not be vegetated to long to keep the height, on harvest day, level with the bottom of the exhaust fan. but if you only wanna grow during winter time, lets say 2-4 crops, i might get them a bit bigger and get up to 1000g or about 2lbs depending on the strain. the largest yield to date is 2 pounds 7 ounces with "chronic" from serious seeds. the doors on the boxes lock and no one would think of walking out of your place with it. cops or robbers, god forbid, might not even know what to make of it. if you can get 18 plants that weigh no less then than 25g each, which is pretty easy with the right strain, you will have a pound, and if you can get 1 ounce a plant, thats 1 and 1/4 pounds which should still be easy with most strains. adding t5 sunblasters have shown to inrease yields by ounces. u need to get set up first and start trouble shooting with your experience.

    1. You must be paid by the company. I bought a Bloombox and Mothership and I'm trying my damnest to return them. Heat, Humidity, Res temps, all out of control the way the box comes. The watering system is virtually worthless because it waters some plants heavily and some not at all, the CO2 system is antecdotal at best. When the CO2 is released by the timer (archaic system) it is sucked out the back by the vent fan within about 45 seconds. Make sure you read lots of reviews before you purchase, you will see these problems have been going on since at least 2009 with no corrections. I didn't and it has cost me nearly 2 grand to fix these boxes and that has only fixed some of the problems. I called and complained and they told me a great story about a new prototype fan for the inside of the box, they sent me a $10 fan and charged me $78. Disappointed would be an understatement.

  8. thanks for the link rootman, i shy away from biological root enhancers in any hydro set ups, but will look into it for any soil grows in consult:)

  9. Your welcome MM.
Why do you shy away from beneficial fungi in a hydro?

  10. i have photos posted of root masses quadrupling in 7 days with my own system, have you had better results? if you have, send your photos to www.growyourownmedicine@hotmail.com:)hydro has to be as clean as possible. i don't consider fungus, molds or mildew to be clean, no matter if they are benficial or parasitic. i advocate the use of of benficials in soil and outdoor grows.

One certainly can not argue with success. It seems that you have certainly mastered the art of Hydro.
Without rattling my sword with you on cleanliness and efficacies of the products from Genesis Soils, I would like to propose a joint.. grow, where I send you a multi specie liquid mycorrhizal inoculum for you to try in a trial.
    Let me know.
I am also sending you the pictures that you have requested. I have had extensive experience with this since early in 1980. I hope you think it worth your time to see if this works for you.

  14. Your blog is great thanks for everything that you are doing. We are a small co-op in Northern CA. and have a beautiful lab set up with four BC NL Producers. It has been a learning experience mainly involving setting up climate control correctly. The boxes themselves are awesome in their usabliity and automation. We now have this all set (closed system - 2.5 5 ton AC with air handler) and are ready to crank up. Since we have 15 members in our collective my main question to you in this post is: what fairly common medincinal strains would you recommend for maximum yield? Thank you in advance for your professional (master!) response.

  15. hey jay. thats really easy. all cannabis afghanicas yield big and are very high quality, although some phenotypes may not, most do, mm

  16. Furnace Filters are mounted in your duct system and kill bacteria as they pass through the light emitted from purifier. It’s important that this equipment be installed correctly for maximum safety and efficiency. These air purifiers provides an extra level of air treatment to improve indoor air quality.
